Fortuna Domus Terracotta Tile
This hare in this terracotta tile is based on a mosaic found by archaeologists in the floor of a Romano-Celtic villa in Cirencester. Inscribed into the tile are the words, attributed to the classical poet Virgil, ‘Stat Fortuna Domus’ which can be translated as ‘Good Fortune to this House’. This hand-finished tile is a beautiful and unique piece of art that any lagomorph lover will cherish.
Dimensions: 9.7cm x 9.8cm
Holes for fixing are located in the corners of the tile. These tiles are suitable for hanging indoors or outdoors. They are not floor tiles. The tiles are frost resistant, but it is not recommended to hang outside where they will face a deluge of water.
