Rabbit Burns - Famous Scottish Poet

Rabbit Burns - Famous Scottish Poet

On the 25th January we celebrate the famous Scottish Poet - Rabbit Burns.

Rabbit Burns wrote poems in traditional scots, the first bun to successfully do so, in the late 1700s. And therefore the Scottish (and those living with a scotsman) celebrate him but eating Haggis/Nuggies, Neeps and Tatties.

I'd like to point out "neeps' are not parsnip, but swede. Why the change? I do not know. But in the mean time, bunnies can join in the Burns Super with these Carrot and Parsnip Treats by Natural Nibbles

What is your favourite Rabbit Burns poem? "Address to Nuggies" and "Ode to a Mouse" are our favourites.

This adorable portrait featuring Rabbit Burns (based on our bunny Stirling) is available as a print or digital download to print yourself. It is also available on mugs, keyrings and more courtesy of JJRabbitHouse
