Selective Naturals Berry Loops Woodland Loops back in stock at Rabbit Retail
A very exciting hopdate - Supreme, the makers of Selective Naturals treats have removed carmine (crushed beetles) from their four treats which previously contained it. These treats were Berry Loops, Woodland Loops, Country Loops and Forest Sticks. You can read our previous blog post about it here.
It’s taking a while for the new recipe treats to get into wholesalers and shops. There is no indication on the packet of any changes, except in the USA ingredients, where instead of carmine, the recipe now says it includes concentrated carrot and radish. At Rabbit Retail we only stock carmine free treats, so I have been checking every label at the wholesalers to be sure. I was able to get hold of the new Berry Loops and Woodland Loops so far.
After many emails and phone calls I still cannot get Country Loops and Forest Sticks, so I appreciate your patience, and I will check the wholesalers regularly.
I think the thing to take away from this is, when the bunny community expressed their concerns and stopped buying a product, a company listened to the feedback and updated their products.
What’s next for the bunny community to protest - hot glue in chew toys?
